Brading Town have won The Daily Echo Club of
the Month for October with a hundred per cent record winning all
4 games and receiving only 3 yellow cards. This is their first
season in the Premier Division. There were three other contenders
AFC Totton with 5 wins and 1 draw, local rivals
Cowes Sports with 5 wins and 1 loss and Fareham
Town with 3 wins and 1 draw.
Due to the reduced numbers in the Divisions and the continued
good weather, The Fixture Secretaries have reported to the Management
Committee that fixtures are well ahead of schedule. This means
that midweek fixtures have been curtailed and the majority of
Fixtures fall on a Saturday. The Management Committee would like
Clubs to think about entering a Supplementary Floodlit Cup Competition
which would take place in the New Year in midweek. Teams without
floodlights would of course be drawn away to the team with floodlights.
There would have to be support from the majority of the Clubs
for this competition and any club interested please contact The
Fixture Secretaries Malcolm Watts and Roger Allen by Friday 1st
December 2006.
All Clubs are reminded by The League Management Directive that
Anti Racist notices must be prominently displayed in the Dressing
Rooms and to Officials and Spectators. The Home Club will be responsible
for ensuring the League requirements are adhered to. Clubs failing
to comply or control racist behaviour will be fined £250.
Any queries or questions regarding racist remarks, comments or
actions must be directed to The Race Relations and Youth Protection
Officer Bob Purkiss immediately.
Under Sydenhams Wessex League Match Instructions it is the duty
of the Home Club to ensure that FOUR match balls are available
during each match.
Due to recent losses at games we would like to remind all clubs
that it is the responsibility of the Home team to make sure that
all dressing rooms are secured by lock and key. This applies from
when the teams enter the field until they return at the end of
the game. The League does not think that this responsibility goes
beyond the end of the game when teams return to the dressing rooms.
From Lymington Town: will all clubs be aware
that there are ongoing road works on the A337 Brockenhurst to
Lymington Road for the foreseeable future and the Temporary traffic
lights may cause traffic hold ups for traffic using this stretch
of road.
